It's Time to Boss it All the Way Up!

Hello Boss!

Welcome to my new blog!

My name is Melissa Naves, I am a professional dancer and a Social Media specialist. But most importantly, I am a boss! But guess what? So are you! If you don’t know that yet, I promise I will help you find that within you.

I have worked for a lot of different people and in several different areas throughout my life.     Just to give you an idea: I have worked as a barista at Starbucks, as a Tutor, as a director as an event planner, as a dancer, as a store manager, as a production assistant, as a secretary, as a social media specialist, as an Uber driver, as a delivery person and the list goes on and on.

And almost all of these jobs had one thing in common: a very annoying boss. I literally had to meditate every single day before I went to work to make sure I had the patience to survive the day. Despite of that, I would still come back home exhausted, stressed, annoyed, mad or sometimes even crying after work. I was able to handle this unhealthy situation for several years (8 to be exact), until I finally found the boss within myself and everything changed. I have never been happier or calmer in my entire life! It was honestly one of the best things that have ever happened to me and now I want to help people like yourself, who might be going through the same nightmare and might feel hopeless and lost like I did. You are not alone sister/brother!

My goal with this blog is to share my insights and all the lessons I’ve learned throughout the years dealing with tough bosses. I want to help you control your emotions, expose your thoughts confidently, not tolerate mistreatment, demand what you deserve and break chains so you can be your own boss! It’s extremely hard to make a life-changing decision like I did, but once you do it, you remove a huge weight off your chest. I promise you won’t regret it!

Are you ready to be a BOSS?

Come with me!

Love,

Melissa Naves

You are the boss!

Hello Boss! How are you feeling today? I hope your week was very productive and I hope you had a lot of insights about yourself and your boss while doing your homework! I’m sure there were a lot of tears as well, but don’t worry, that’s all part of the process. Believe me, I shed way too many tears before I discovered the boss within me. And this is where we’ll start from today! One of the biggest issues when dealing with our bosses is how much they mess with our emotions. That’s why the first thing we’ll be working on is gaining confidence. You have to believe in your own skills, on your own self-worth, on your qualities and on yourself so others can believe in you too, especially your boss. When you present yourself to the world confidently, others will see you confidently as well. You are the boss! You just have to believe it yourself! In order to help you with that, I want you to make a list of all the things you love about yourself. Every single da...

What's the deal with your boss?

Hello Boss!  Are you ready to start bossing it all the way up? I’m very excited to start sharing all the ideas, thoughts and lessons I’ve learned throughout my years dealing with tough bosses with you! Trust me, I know how it feels to you come home every single day feeling like trash because of something your boss did or said to you. It truly sucks and it’s not something any of us should have to go through in life. So, wipe up those tears and let’s get to work! First of all, you need to identify what the issue is with your boss and you. Does he/she make you feel unvalued? Does he/she humiliate you? Does he/she give you too much work? Does he/she mistreat you? You have to clearly identify what bothers you in your boss and in your relationship with him/her in order to start making progress. After you’ve identified what the issue is, the next thing to do is identify what your feelings are towards your boss’ treatment. Do you feel sad? Do you feel ang...
