Hello Boss!
How are you feeling today?
I hope your week was very productive and
I hope you had a lot of insights about yourself and your boss while doing your homework!
I’m sure there were a lot of tears as well, but don’t worry, that’s all part of
the process. Believe me, I shed way too many tears before I discovered the boss
within me. And this is where we’ll start from today!
One of the biggest issues when dealing
with our bosses is how much they mess with our emotions. That’s why the first
thing we’ll be working on is gaining confidence. You have to believe in your
own skills, on your own self-worth, on your qualities and on yourself so others
can believe in you too, especially your boss. When you present yourself to the
world confidently, others will see you confidently as well. You are the boss! You
just have to believe it yourself! In order to help you with that, I want you to
make a list of all the things you love about yourself. Every single day, I want
you to read these things, look in the mirror and say: “I’m the boss!”. I know
it seems stupid, but I promise, it works! You will see!
In addition to that, now that you did
some research on your boss, you probably understand better why he/she is the
way he/she is or why he/she treats you this way, right? Now, you have to develop
the patience and right mindset to always keep that in mind when dealing with
your boss. We all have our flaws, and those are his/hers. Respect it and learn
how to deal with it, because that’s probably not going to change.
Lastly, I want you to control your
emotions when around your boss and not let him/her make you feel bad about
yourself. Learn to speak up and speak your mind when necessary and don’t let
him/her abuse you! You are not there to be mistreated, and you shouldn’t
tolerate that. I know that’s the hardest part, and that’s why I will talk more
about this on my next post.
Hang in there and bear with me, I
promise it will be worth it!
Love,
Melissa Naves
